I’m a Chicago sports fan through and through. And if there’s ever a Chicago team competing, you better believe I’ll be rooting for my home team. But, just as a New Yorker wouldn’t dare question the skill of the great Air Jordan, I can’t deny crazy talent when I see it. And, in my mind, Kobe Bryant is the best around (along with Lebron and D. Wade… impressed with my basketball knowledge, yet?). Watching Kobe and the Lakers dominate is nothing short of amazing, and since they’re currently competing in the NBA Finals, I thought a Lakers-themed wedding would be fun and festive!

A purple and gold wedding color palette can be rich and regal, but a full blown Lakers-branded wedding would be a bit much. Unless of course the Lakers are willing to sponsor your wedding and foot the bill (like Dr. Pepper did for this wacky couple)! How about you meet somewhere in the middle, with a Lakers-inspired groom’s cake, bridal garter, and possibly some stylish cufflinks for your groom and his groomsmen?
